As an experienced professional in construction, Bud brings more than 30 years experience working on every kind of project in Southern California. He has spent his time in critical roles such as vice president, general manager of field operations, senior project manager, general superintendent, and owner of his own project management firm. During these years he has gathered a wealth of knowledge and continues to build a library of information and discover better ways to provide for customers in this industry.

In his time as owner of a project management firm he was called as a valuable and reputable expert witness for more than 10 construction related cases. During this time he specialized in project management, quality control, and handling construction bond claim issues on projects ranging from $4,000,000 to $60,000,000.

In his experience Bud has impressively been directly responsible for the Brighten Gardens project in Del Mar, the Chargers Training Facility in San Diego, and the Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Additionally, his role as vice president was to manage all areas of a drywall company with an extensive list of projects including Crown Bay and Pacific Terrace condominium high-rise complexes in San Diego, new construction of Marine Corps Reserve Center at Camp Pendleton, and new construction of LA Fitness in San Marcos.

Bud was educated in the United States Navy for four years with continued education and training as union apprentice/journeyman with Local Union 2600 for eight years.

Philip has been in the construction business for more than 20 years, including but not limited to six years of project and construction management, eight years as chief estimator, and two years as project engineer. The years of experience in this field have allowed him the opportunity to learn and gain expertise in many different areas of this vast industry, and work with all different contributors to these types of projects. In the process he has built a reputation and relationships with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners in the field.

Project management is something Philip embraces and approaches with confidence when taking on new projects. He has worked in this capacity for engineering firms, construction companies, and his own construction management firm which he ran successfully for more than 4 years. As an estimator in the construction industry, he has been successful in providing detailed construction estimates for public works, military, commercial, residential, and landscaping projects. Impressively he was responsible for the expansion of a California construction company to the public work sector with an award on the first public works project bid for that firm.

He is the recipient of the Construction Quality Control (CQC) manager certification issued by the Army Corp of Engineers through the Association of General Contractors (AGC) program for work on Navy projects within the southwest division.

He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in hydrology with an emphasis in geology.
